sermon: We Shall Be God! (Part 2)
How To Be God
John W. Ritenbaugh
Given 22-Feb-92; Tape #007
Description: What we perceive as our destination will determine what we do with our time now. As God imparts spirit, giving mind, initiating the process of accumulating experience and building character, mankind chooses the image to whom or which he will conform. As our prototype, archegos, forerunner, or Elder Brother (Hebrews 2:10), Jesus has set us a pattern that we are obligated to follow. Like a seed sown into the ground, the accumulated character (conformed to Christ's example), dissolved by death but reactivated by resurrection, will be transformed into a glorious spiritual body—a member of the God Family (I Corinthians 15:44, 49). Having been created in God's image, we will be transformed into the kind from which we have sprung—God. (60 minutes)
